Once upon a time, underneath the Smokies

Yes, underneath the beautiful Smoky Mountains in Tennessee there is at least one underground cavern. Mary and I visited one once in June of this year (2006). The one we visited is called Tuckaleechee Caverns and it was neat. The caverns are 58 Degrees farenheit all year round and the family that has owned the land for years employs humorous people to give amusing and educational tours. Also they sold very tasty fudge. Here are some pictures we took while inside the caverns.

That was a really fun day! Our vacation to Tennessee this summer was so much fun, and the caverns were definitely a highlight of the trip. I went to a cavern in Ireland this July and I have to tell you, it didn't even come close to being as impressive! I hope we get to go back to the Smokies some day.

well, you know why the caverns in ireland didn't come close... because mary, ashley, elliot and i weren't there.
and who was going to fill the role of hitting their head on the roof?

yeah, that sure was alot of fun though. despite the knot on my head.

that was pretty funny...

"watch your head here, the rock formations are kind of low." and then we hear, "ouch!" and somehow i knew it was you.

You need to put the picture of Laura licking Johnny Cash's guitar at Hard Rock.
