Thanksgiving 2011

We had a nice Thanksgiving at home this past November. This is the first year that Elliot and I didn't go visit with family and instead we stayed home and prepared Thanksgiving dinner ourselves. It was nothing fancy, but we did okay-- fake turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, and pumpkin pie. I forgot to cook the stuffing. Fortunately, all of the kids are under the age of 3, so no one complained. :)

The ultimate mini-sandwich is made by taking a roll and opening it up like a hamburger bun, then stuffing it with a piece of (fake) turkey, mashed potatoes, and some cranberry sauce. YUM! I must a have made 3 or 4 of those little sandwiches while I ate dinner.

This was Clark's first Thanksgiving. He was just an observer this year, but he did get to wear a cute bib anyway.

Elise, however, enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal. No bib for her. No clothes at all. We've found that the easiest way for us to deal with toddler meal mess is to just let them wear nothing but their diapers and then wipe them from head to toe when they're done eating.

Note: Clark day 52; Elise day 626
