Days 525, 526, and 527

Elise listening intently at Baby Story Time, August 16th:

Good morning kisses, August 17th:

Look at Elise's baby tan lines! Believe me, I COVERED her in sunscreen for her swimming lessons. I guess she has more of Daddy's complexion that we realized! August 18th:

Our story time doesn't have chairs. It's more like a rock concert, as my good friend once described it. There are typically 50 babies/toddlers and their parents squished into a room for 30 to 40 minutes of reading, singing and dancing. It is fantastic! Our librarian, Mr Frank, once had to break up a "baby mosh pit" that formed at the front of the room.

we usually sit up front on the floor but it's gotten a lot harder lately for me to get up and down, so we opted for the chairs this time.

our story time is crazy packed full of little ones, too. Elise loves it. there's really a lot more singing and clapping and wiggling and dancing than there are stories. and at the end everyone gets a sticker. you should SEE the mad rush of 18 month olds for the librarians with the sticker rolls!

Ah, yes. The stickers. Mr Frank only gives stickers to kids who are sitting down with their caregivers. He used to get ambushed, so he had to change the rules.
