October 6, 8, 9, 10

Oct 6
I only posted a picture of Clark on my last Oct 6th post, but here's one of everybody.
Oct 8
Doesn't want to go to sleep.
Does want to go to sleep.
Oct 9
Elise at her gymnastics class. (Can't find a picture of Clark for this day... will post once I find it.)
Oct 10
It's finally cold enough for sweaters! But not for pants. That's how it works in Florida-- first the long sleeves and then eventually the long pants. But you can wear flip flops year-round if you want to. I'm pretty sure that's a law.

Night night, little guy.

Oct 2 and 3

Oct 2
We've spent a lot of time at the vet's office recently. Our cat Applesauce has been sick. Clark decided to make himself at home and rearrange the furniture while we were there on Oct 2nd.
Elise sometimes keeps herself busy with her coloring book and crayons.
Oct 3
It's not easy to take a self portrait with two wiggle worms on your lap.

Sept 27, 28, and 29

Sept 27
Clark has the flattest baby butt I've ever seen. This picture doesn't emphasize the flatness, but if you saw his butt from the side, you'd understand what I'm talking about.
Elise fell and hurt her lip. The receptionist at the foster kids' speech therapy office brought her a popsicle. Elise stopped crying instantly.

The librarian sings happy birthday to all of the kids with upcoming birthdays every week at story time at the library. We  sung Clark's birthday song a few days early, on Sept 26th. He knew it was for him. He loved it!

Sept 21
Baby butt!
Elise saw a blimp and wanted a picture with it.  It's that tiny line above the tree on the far left. Silly Elise.
Sept 22
Clark in profile.
Elise never got a chance to hold a sparkler on the 4th of July and she remembered that fact two and a half months later. We rectified our error. (Don't ask me what happened to her pants. I have no idea.)

We're Going to Adopt Our Foster Children! (and Sept 18, 19, 20)

I have some happy, happy, happy news! We've been approved to adopt our foster son and foster daughter! Their parents' rights have already been terminated and now we're just waiting for all of the necessary paperwork to go through the proper channels. I'm not sure at this point if we're a few weeks or a few months away from finalizing the adoption, but hopefully we'll find out our official adoption date within the next couple of days.

YAY!!!

Now for pictures...

Sept 14th through 17th: Atlanta!

We took our first big family vacation on Sept 14th through 17th. We went to Atlanta and it was awesome! The kids had a great time. We visited the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, Zoo Atlanta, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and ate at lots of yummy restaurants. The kids even liked the hotel that we stayed at because it had a waterfall in the dining area. Our trip was the perfect way for Elliot and me to celebrate 10 years of togetherness.

Here are a few pictures from our vacation:

Sept 14
At the aquarium.
Sept 15
Elliot's dad joined us for part of our trip. Here we all are at the Coca-Cola museum.
Sept 16
Hanging out with pandas at Zoo Atlanta.
Sept 17
Back at the aquarium. The kids has so much fun there that we visited again before we left town.
