I tried to figure out what kind of bird this is, and it looks like its a Red-tailed Hawk, which is common to Florida.
We actually saw TWO hawks in our neighbor's yard. I wonder if they were mating. It seems like the trees in our yard and our neighbor's yard attract mating pairs of predatory birds-- the owls and now these hawks.
the pig is actually quite massive... i think the pig could eat the hawk before the hawk could eat the pig. i WAS worried about the neighborhood cats, though.

You have pigs in your neighborhood? It would be totally wicked if a hawk swooped down and grabbed a pig.
