She was three weeks early and weighed 6 lbs, 7 oz.
She has reddish eyelashes, blond hair at the temples and brown hair in back, and dark blue eyes for now.
Here's the short story of how it all went down.
First: Mary was in labor(not pictured)
Second: Elise was born, warmed up, given some oxygen, wrapped in a blanket and put in Mary's arms.
Third: Elise was then washed and measured and given some medicine while we stayed in the hospital for a few days and then went home in her first car ride!
Now Mary feeds her and I lay around with her on my chest while she sleeps.
I've been remiss in posting belly pictures. We've just been so busy getting ready for the baby. Buying the last little things that we need, washing blankets and clothes, organizing the baby's room. We're so excited, and the big day is just around the corner. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
We're getting close. Less than 9 weeks until my due date!
Things are going well. Elise is still very active, despite the fact that she has less and less room in my belly. She's supposed to weigh somewhere around 4 pounds and be 17 or 18 inches long by now. How exciting!
We decided on getting a stroller some time ago but it took us a little while to find the perfect balance between of functionality, quality and price. After some amount of consideration we decided upon the "Uppababy G-Luxe." It's quite light and has a reclining seat back, sun shade and cup holder, among other things.
This year is sure to be an exciting one for us, as Elise is due at the end of March!
Elliot, William, and I got the new year off to a sweet start, baking cookies together as a new family tradition for New Year's Day. We all got to help stir. :)
I have a bunch of 2009 pictures that I still want to post... perhaps catching up on our blog posts will be one of my new year's resolutions.
Here's a picture from December. Elliot and I celebrate an anniversary on December 15th, and this year we bought a yummy cake to mark our special day. Elliot likes silly looking cakes (see the teddy bear cakes from our Sarasota wedding reception two years ago), and this year we got a cake that looks like a cup of hot chocolate.
